CLASSES
Our Excel modeling classes are geared towards individuals and teams with reasonably proficient Excel skills that are looking to take advantage of the powerful modeling and data analytics abilities of Excel. These classes were designed by one of our founders based on his 14+ years of experience using Excel for business process automation, modeling and data analytics. He has identified a handful of key formulas that are the most often used building blocks of most models and data analysis.
Our classes are very hands on. During the class, the students learn about the key formulas that they will use , and how and when to construct these formulas. By the completion of the class, students will have built a dashboard that incorporates all these concepts.
In addition to understanding these formulas and how they work together to start building your own models, the class will offer tips on how to clean up "dirty" data to make it useable.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The class will cover a number of Excel formulas including, but not limited to, the following:
- Vlookup, Index, Match
- Sumif(s)
- If, If(and), if(or), nested if functions
- Pivot tables
- Array formulas for older versions of Excel
- Excel shortcuts
- Simple macros
- Data validation
- Various data analytics
- Formulas to help clean up and sort lists
CPE
The classes currently qualify for CPE in the State of California for those CPA's interested.
